TEHRAN – Iranian tradesmen and industrialists from all over the nation will showcase their products during a four-day exhibition of Iraq’s reconstruction. The exhibition, to be held in Iran’s western city of Kermanshah, near the nation’s border with Iraq, will showcase Iranian products, in particular, the construction, industrial, petrochemical, agricultural and hygienic products, oil and gas and steel industries, detergents, foodstuffs and a variety of vehicles and machineries

The upcoming exhibition is expected to provide suitable opportunities for Iranian and Iraqi tradesmen to conclude significant agreements as a result of which Iran’s non-oil products exports would be increased to over one billion dollars, noted the chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Kermanshah.

Increased by $150 million, Iran’s export to its neighboring nation hit well over $400 million in the past year, the Persian service of IRNA said here on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 50 Iraqi authorities as well as some 200 Iraqi businessmen are going to take part in a two-day seminar held on the sidelines of the four-day exhibition. The two countries’ officials will discuss the obstacles and problems facing the trade between the two nations in particular issues related to truck transportation, insurances, long-term visas, cargo transit and the trend in the reconstruction measures.

Iraq Reconstruction Exhibition will be held at the Kermanshah permanent fairgrounds from November 5-9, 2006.
